For the past two weeks I have been only using the Dermaceutic products on my skin as per the Skin technicians direction. I have noticed a slight difference already and I have not even started the Peel yet. Have a look!

My skin feels smoother, is a little brighter and my pores have slightly reduced in size. The Dermaceutic products active ingredients are at a higher potency than products available in the drug store. That’s why it’s very important not to combine their use with other skin care products. This is also the reason these products are only available from trained technicians who can advise you on how to use them.

I used the cleanser and cream at night and in the morning. I did have a strong tingling sensation on my skin by the second and third day and some slight redness (which no one noticed) but that went away and what came up after was improved texture. There was some dryness and the technician later suggested that I could have used the Hyal-ceutic moisturizer on the dry areas if I felt that I really needed it, although this moisturizer is actually intended for after the the Milk Peel treatment.

The actual Peel itself was quick. She handed me a little fan to fan my skin if the tingling was at all intolerable. I didn’t need it. My skin was a little tight after and again there was a little redness that was not noticeable to anyone but myself. My one recommendation would be to avoid wearing a hat or sunglasses after the peel. It can rub against your skin and cause irritation and redness, so take care not to do this.

So far I am really enjoying the results and there are six more weeks to go! During the peel process I have two months’ worth of dedicated skin improvement altogether which strikes me as an amazing value actually.

My Water Consumption Project

I have to admit that the apps to remind me to rehydrate all fell flat. They helped me determine the amount of water I needed to consume and then I forgot about them. I decided to use taste as an incentive. At first I brewed enormous soup pots of fruity herbal tea and used stevia, a zero calorie natural sweetener and then chilled it. This was delicious, but slightly time consuming. I later chilled bottled water with lemon juice and stevia. Easy peazy, lemon squeazy . . . . as they say. It seems like a whole lot of management just to drink water, but if I am going to invest this time and energy into improving my skin I should work on the #1 most important health factor to my skin’s appearance first.

I stopped into Skin2 today to begin the process for having a Dermacuetic Milk Peel. First the Skin2 Technician helped me decide on the right Peel for my skin.

I stopped into Skin2 today to begin the process for having a Dermacuetic Milk Peel. First the Skin2 Technician helped me decide on the right Peel for my skin. My skin is fine and fair with lots of freckles albeit faint. I have been a customer of Skin2 for over a year now and have had three Microderms as well as two IPLs. I saw some great improvements in texture and fine lines, but it has been while since I have had any treatments now and I am quite excited about trying a Peel.

I try to make a case for aggressive action, but given that my skin is fair and my lines are pretty light, the technician recommends a Milk Peel. I leave it up to the experts, they’ve done well for me so far.

So the whole process of my Milk Peel will take place over eight weeks. The Milk Peel is completed in four applications two weeks apart and I need to prepare my skin for two weeks ahead of time with the Dermacuetic products. This is my homework for the next two weeks:

Stop all other skin care product use (makeup is fine)

Wash with the Foamer 15

Apply Serum C25 in the morning and Turnover Cream at night

I get pretty excited about skincare products so I get right on the regimen and like Susan advised me there is a slight tingling sensation when I apply the Foamer and the Serum C25. It’s certainly not uncomfortable by any stretch though and I like the idea that I can feel it working. Killer complexion here I come!

Aside from the Milk Peel I am determined to support this process by dealing with my state of perpetual dehydration. It’s only a hunch this will help the dark circles around my eyes, but either way I can’t lose. I download an app by Thermos called “Get Hydrated”. It reminds when you need to rehydrate according to your activity level, weight and daily schedule. I later found a slightly better app called “Hydrate Yourself“. There is also another app just called “Hydrate” which looks far cooler, however I refuse to spend 99 cents to remeind myslef to drink water just on principal.

Let’s see if my magic iphone can manage me.
